SEPTEMBER 10, 11 & 12, 2010
OFFICIAL RULES
EVENT
1.0 INFORMATION
1.01 A rules and captains meeting will be held on the eve of the competition. The purpose of
this meeting is for the judging staff to answer any questions concerning the rules, and
provide all administrative information regarding the competition.
1.02 A complete schedule for preliminary round play consisting of each team's opponents, the
fields to be played by each team, and the scheduled game times will be posted on the
web site at least two days prior to the start of the competition.
1.03 All fields will be available for inspection the day prior to the start of the competition.
1.04 Only personnel authorized by the tournament administration will be allowed to film,
photograph, tape or record games.
1.05 Each player must execute and deliver to the administration of the tournament a waiver, a
copy of which is attached as Exhibit A.
FIELDS
2.0 STANDARDS
2.01 All game fields shall be free from anything that would pose an unnecessary risk to
players, including cliffs, areas with jagged rocks, etc.
2.02 Both players and judges should be able to move freely on game fields, and game fields
should not contain significant wet or swamp areas, dense undergrowth or the like that
would impede such free movement.
2.03 All field borders will be free of doglegs, and no section of a border will be constructed in
such a manner as to allow a player to shoot over a boundary with the paintball traveling
back onto the playing field.
2.04 Fields will contain two flag stations positioned at opposite ends and equidistant from te
side tape lines, based on the field terrain.
2.05 Taking into account terrain, cover and ability to move, fire lanes and topography, fields
will constructed for maximum balanced playing surfaces awarding no team a significant
advantage.
2.1 FIELD STAFFING
2.11 Each field will be staffed by a minimum of 6 field judges, including the Ultimate Judge.
2.12 Only judges authorized by the Ultimate Judge of a field may actually make calls of games
played on that field.
2.13 One field judge shall be the designated chronograph judge.
2.2 TEAMS
2.21 Teams may roster up to 15 players, but may field a maximum of 10 in any one half.
2.22 No player may appear on more than one team roster.
2.23 All teams shall submit rosters prior to the start of the competition.
2.24 Each 10 man team shall pay an entrance fee of $1,950.00; provided however, that any
entrance fee paid by any member of such team in the Black Market War Scenario Game
held at Paintball Sports NY fields on May 16 and 17, 2010, shall have such entry fees
paid credited toward the payment due by such player.
2.25 All fees must be paid in full by September 3, 2010.
OFFICIATING
3.0 STANDARDS
3.01 All field judges shall be thoroughly familiar with the rules and regulations contained herein
and shall put forth their best efforts in discharging their duties and shall make calls in a
totally unbiased manner.
3.02 Radios shall be used by field judges to communicate with each other.
3.03 Judges will wear jerseys or shirts that will distinguish them from any players on the field.
3.04 Clerical errors may be corrected at any time prior to the start of the next round of play.
3.1 INFORMATION
3.11 Judges will not provide information to teams regarding the location of teammates
opposing players, flags, terrain, boundaries, game time or progress of a game, except
with respect to safety concerns.
3.12 Judges will not, through action or inaction, deliberately reveal or conceal the locations or
actions of players during the course of a game.
3.13 Judges will not impede the progress of a game.
3.2 CONTROLS
3.21 Players are responsible for removing old hits or bringing the same to the attention of a
field judge to be dealt with in a manner not to cause an elimination.
3.22 Players are not allowed to bring tools or other prohibited equipment on the field.
3.23 Each player will be given an armband to be worn on the left arm above the elbow which
will designate the team of such player.
3.24 Players must have one foot in their flag station prior to the start of each half.
3.25 The Ultimate Judge will begin a game by counting down so that each team can clearly
hear the following: “3-2-1, ten seconds.” Thereafter, the game will begin 10 seconds
later with the Ultimate and flag judges yelling “GO, GO, GO.”
3.26 A game will end only by the Ultimate Judge announcing “Game Over.”
3.27 Eliminated players must exit the field by the most direct route or as directed by a field
judge.
3.28 All live players at the end of a half must present themselves to a field judge at the exit
point for inspection.
3.29 No player having exited the field may re-enter without permission from a field judge.
3.3 CHRONOGRAPHING
3.31 All players will be chonographed at their flag stations by the chronograph judge
prior to the start of the game. The chronograph judge will take the markers from
the players and inspect them for the following:
(i) the presence of foreign matter in the barrel, feed port or loader;
(ii) tightness of screws, barrels, tanks and other working parts that can
increase or decrease muzzle velocity;
(iii) presence of valves or expansion chambers which can be turned on or off
– all valves will be placed in the open position;
(iv) presence of external velocity adjusters which are not covered or fixed in
place;
(v) bouncing triggers; and
(vi) any other device, part or item which would enable a player to effectively
shoot full auto or increase the muzzle velocity of a marker.
3.32 Markers will pass inspection if the foregoing is complied with and the average muzzle
velocity of three shots is less than 295 feet per second with no one shot being greater
than 300 feet per second. All players whose marker did not pass inspection of the
chronograph judge can elect to enter the field without a marker or be counted as
eliminated.
3.33 Chronographing on the field may take place at any time at the discretion of the field
judges. Such chronographing will take place in a manner which would least interfere with
play. Players whose markers are shooting in excess of the allowed limits will be
eliminated from play.
3.4 PAINTCHECKS
3.41 Paintcheck are performed by a judge in his sole and absolute discretion or if directed to
do so by another judge if it is felt by any judge that a paintball may have hit and broken
upon the player called for the check.
3.42 Judges may, but are under no obligation to perform a paintcheck if a player has
requested one.
3.43 Judges will make every effort to perform a paintcheck without calling a player neutral, but
that judge, in his sole and absolute discretion may call a player neutral if it is felt that he
cannot effectively make the check without such a call. If such a call is made, the judge
will signal that player neutral and that player can no longer be eliminated until the judge
completes the check and the player can resume his position prior to the call and check.
Players not called neutral may be eliminated during a paintcheck.
3.44 No flag carrier will ever be stopped and declared neutral for the purposes of performing a
paintcheck.
3.45 If a judge performing a paintcheck determines that a is player hit, the player must
immediately signal himself eliminated by calling out “HIT” or “OUT”, just once, remove his
armband, barrel bag his marker and exit the field by the most direct route or as directed
by a judge.
3.46 If a judge performing a paintcheck determines that a player is not hit, the player may
continue to play.
3.5 ELIMINATIONS
3.51 A player is eliminated if a paintball shot by a live player strikes and breaks on him or
anything that he is wearing or carrying. If the paintball does not break, the player is not
eliminated. If the paintball strikes another object and paint splatters on the player or
anything that he is wearing or carrying, he is not eliminated. Judges rulings on such
matters are final and non-appealable.
3.52 Obvious hits are those which impact and break on easily observable places on the body
or equipment of a player. Players with obvious hits must immediately signal themselves
eliminated by calling out “HIT” or “OUT”, just once, remove their armbands, barrel bag
their markers and exit the field by the most direct route or as directed by a judge.
3.53 Players with hits in areas or places which are not easily verifiable, such as the back, may
continue to play but must immediately call for paintchecks on themselves.
3.54 Unobvious hits are those which are not felt and break on players or equipment which are
not easily observable or discovered. Players with unobvious hits will be eliminated when
discovered, but will not be penalized for playing on.
3.55 A player is eliminated if:
(i) any part of his body or anything that he is wearing or carrying is outside the
playing area, and judges rulings on such matters are final and non-appealable;
(ii) he is not wearing his armband on his left arm above the elbow prior to the start of
the half;
(iii) he is found with tools or other prohibited equipment on the field;
(iv) he separates himself by more than 5 feet from equipment brought onto the field,
except pods, squeegies and rags;
(v) he engages in unsportsmanlike conduct, including, but not limited to excessive
shooting, failure to obey a judge's direction to stop moving on a player,deliberate
avoidance of a judge in a manner to prevent that judge from chronographing a
marker, making a call or otherwise enforcing these rules, shooting at a judge and
verbal abuse of opposition players, and judges rulings on such matters are final
and non-appealable;
(vi) he takes actions which would cause members of the opposing team to believe
that he has been eliminated, including, but not limited to hiding his armband,
calling himself out, and holding his marker above his shoulder, and judges rulings
on such matters are final and non-appealable;
(vii) his marker is shooting in excess of 300 feet per second on any one shot; or
(viii) he is eliminated by a judge as a result of a penalty called on a teammate.
3.56 Judges in their sole and absolute discretion may issue warnings rather than eliminate
players or call penalties for the following infractions:
(i) a first offense failure to observe a neutral call;
(ii) failure to use a barrel bag;
(iii) use of inappropriate language; and
(iv) a first offense abuse of calling for paintchecks.
3.57 Judges will eliminate players for the following infractions:
(i) a second offense failure to observe a neutral call;
(ii) a second offense abuse of calling for paintchecks; and
(iii) use of inappropriate language
(iv) aggressive movement during a neutral call within 60 feet of the neutral player;
(v) failure to wear an authorized goggles, full face and mask system; and checking in
as a live player at the end of a half with an unobvious hit.
3.6 PENALTIES
3.61 If a player playing on, that is determined by a judge to continue to play with an obvious
hit, which includes, but is not limited to continuing to shoot his marker or otherwise
engage the opposition,, continuing to move except in appropriately exiting the field,
talking, signaling or otherwise communicating information, except to say “HIT” or “OUT”
just once, impeding the progress of opposition players, hampering a judge in making a
paintcheck or a call or providing a teammate with paintballs or equipment, the judge calls
a One-for-One and such player along with one teammate chosen by the judge are
immediately eliminated; provided however, if a judge determines that the offending
player's actions altered the course of the game, he can call a Two- for- One and remove
two live players from the offending player's team, instead of just one. Judges rulings on
such matters are final and non-appealable.
3.62 If a judge determines that a player is attempting to deliberately remove paint from a valid
hit in order to avoid elimination, the judge calls a wiping penalty and such player along
with three teammates of such player chosen be the judge are immediately eliminated.
Judges rulings on such matters are final and non-appealable.
3.63 Freight training is the act of utilizing multiple players who move and act in concert so that
the lead players after being marked and eliminated impede or prevent the timely
elimination of other players in the train. Judges will allow a freight train to continue, but
will remove one live player as well as eliminated players for each instance of continuing
to play by the players eliminated.
3.64 If an eliminated player shoots from the dead box, a judge will call a Three-for One and
eliminate three live players from the offending player's team. Judges rulings on such
matters are final and non-appealable.
3.65 If a player uses a marker in violation of Section 4.22 hereof, a judge will call a Two-for-
One penalty and eliminate two live players from the offending player's team. Judges
rulings on such matters are final and non-appealable
GEAR WORN OR CARRIED
4.0 CLOTHING
4.01 Each player may wear only one layer of underclothing beneath jersey and pants.
4.02 Each player must wear only one long sleeved jersey and one pair of full length pants
(i) which are not over sized;
(ii) which are not made from highly absorbent material such as felt or fleece or of a
highly padded or slick material such as nylon or rubber;
(iii) the colors of which cannot be any shade of orange or red.
4.03 Players may wear a single pair of gloves, with or without full fingers. Gloves may be
padded.
4.04 Players may wear single layer nylon neck protection.
4.05 Players may wear headgear which does not extend beyond one inch below the
collarbone or below the shoulder blades.
4.1 PROTECTIVE GEAR
4.11 Players must wear goggles, full face and ear mask systems manufactured for use in
paintball games which are in good repair and with lenses not in any way damaged.
These systems must meet or exceed ASTM standards.
4.12 Players may wear unmodified forearm, elbow, knee and shin protection over or under
clothing. Male players may wear groin protection, and female players may wear breast
protection.
4.2 MARKERS
4.21 Players may carry into a game and use only one 68 caliber non-electronic mechanical
pump or semiautomatic marker which has a single barrel and a single action trigger. The
force needed to pull the trigger of the marker must exceed the bounce back force of the
trigger caused by the expenditure of the paintball, eliminating the possibility of a bouncing
trigger.
4.22 All markers with any form of external velocity adjusters must be modified in such a way
so that the velocity adjuster is not readily accessible during the course of play. All
regulators require tournament caps so that they cannot be adjusted without a tool with
the marker gassed or degassed.
4.23 All barrels may be equipped with porting, slots and/or rifling, but may not have a sound
suppressor attached or an integral part of the construction
4.24 Cloth, neoprene or other material may be used to cover the air tanks attached to the
markers.
4.25 Barrel bags must be used off the field of play and away from the chronographing areas.
4.3 PAINT
4.31 Only 68 caliber paint shall be used.
4.32 Paint must be non-staining and water water soluble.
4.33 Red and pink paint are prohibited.
4.4 OTHER EQUIPMENT
4.41 Only gravity fed battery or non-battery operated paint loaders may be used. Force fed
loaders are prohibited.
4.42 Players may carry any number of paint pouches, clips or loaders.
4.43 Players may carry one hand towel or washcloth, provided it is not orange, red or black.
4.44 Players may carry any number of squeegies and swabs.
4.45 Players may carry anti-fog cloths or spray.
4.46 Players may have just one compressed air or CO2 tank certified for use as of the dates of
the tournament.
4.5 PROHIBITED EQUIPMENT
4.51 Prohibited equipment includes, without limitation, listening devices, any form of electronic
surveillance, incendiary devices, smoke producing devices, red paint, paint which
contains toxins or pathogens, paint with a shell or fill altered or augmented in any way or
paint which is not biodegradable.
4.52 Markers or other equipment not in conformity with the provisions of Section 4.41 hereof
are prohibited.
GAME STRUCTURE
5.0 HALVES
5.01 Each game will consist of two halves.
5.02 Each half will end 15 minutes after the start thereof or sooner if the Ultimate Judge
declares “Game Over” because of a successful flag hang, the elimination of all players on
the field or an emergency.
5.03 Teams will exchange flag stations on the field for the second half of play.
5.04 There will be at least 45 minutes between the start of each half played by the teams.
5.1 SCORING
5.11 Games will be conducted on a 100 point system for each half.
5.12 A team will be awarded 2 points for every player on the opposing team
eliminated.
5.13 A team will be awarded 1 point for every player on such team not eliminated.
5.14 A team will be awarded 20 points if it successfully pulls its opponents' flag first.
5.15 A team will be awarded 50 points if it successfully hangs its opponents' flag in its
flag station first.
5.16 Points are awarded at the conclusion of the half by the Ultimate Judge.
5.17 Elimination points are awarded to a team for every opposing player removed
from the game in progress. A player may be removed for a valid hit, going out of
bounds, surrender or voluntary exit from the field, elimination by a judge, valid or
invalid, abandonment of equipment (moving more than 5 feet away from such
equipment, except spent or unspent paint pods, or beginning the half outside the
team flag station.
5.18 A first flag pull occurs when a player not eliminated is the first to physically grab
the opponents' flag in their station, before an opponent manages to do the same.
Only one team may be awarded first flag pull points during a half.
5.19 Flag hang points are awarded when a player not eliminated breaks the plane of a
flag station with the flag from the other flag station. Flag hangs are awarded in
conjunction with or independently of first flag pulls. Flag hangs may be awarded
to the team not in possession of the flag when hung, since it is the flag and the
station in which it is hung that determines the points awarded and to whom. Flag
hangs will not immediately be awarded upon the flag breaking the boundary of
the opposing flag station. The status of the flag carrier will first have to be
verified as not eliminated. The time of the flag hang will be recorded prior to
such verification, and if the player is determined to be not eliminated and no
other hang occurred prior to that hang, the hang will be considered valid and the
half will be considered over at the time of such hang.
5.2 NUMBER OF GAMES; PRIZE PACKAGE
5.21 In the preliminary round, each team will be placed in a division of 4 teams and will play
each other team in its division plus one team from another division, or 4 games (8 halves)
in that first round.
5.22 The top two teams in each division will continue through to the playoff rounds.
5.23 Elimination rounds will be played pursuant to a schedule to be posted on the website at
least one week prior to the start of the competition until teams 1 through 4 have been
determined.
5.24 $300.00 from each team entry fee shall be allocated to the prize pool.
5.25 In case of a tie score among teams, such tie will broken:
(i) first, by head to head competition, the winner of such contest advancing;
(ii) if tied still, second, by previous round scores, top scorer in that previous round
advancing;
(iii) if tied still, third, by eliminations scored in the previous round, the top team in
such scoring advancing;
(iv) if tied still, fourth, by coin toss.
MISCELLANEOUS
6.0 DECORUM
6.01 Teams and players thereon shall refrain from wearing or otherwise displaying offensive
pictures, words or logos.
6.02 Teams and players thereon shall refrain from engaging in any conduct that would bring
the tournament, the promoters or the game-site into disrepute, including, but not limited
to trashing hotel rooms, the discharge of markers in ungoggled trafficked areas, the willful
destruction of private property, physical altercations, except in defense of one's person
against an unprovoked attack, or the commission of a criminal act.

immediately signal himself eliminated by calling out “HIT” or “OUT”, just once, remove his
armband, barrel bag his marker and exit the field by the most direct route or as directed
by a judge.
3.46 If a judge performing a paintcheck determines that a player is not hit, the player may
continue to play.
3.5 ELIMINATIONS
3.51 A player is eliminated if a paintball shot by a live player strikes and breaks on him or
anything that he is wearing or carrying. If the paintball does not break, the player is not
eliminated. If the paintball strikes another object and paint splatters on the player or
anything that he is wearing or carrying, he is not eliminated. Judges rulings on such
matters are final and non-appealable.
3.52 Obvious hits are those which impact and break on easily observable places on the body
or equipment of a player. Players with obvious hits must immediately signal themselves
eliminated by calling out “HIT” or “OUT”, just once, remove their armbands, barrel bag
their markers and exit the field by the most direct route or as directed by a judge.
3.53 Players with hits in areas or places which are not easily verifiable, such as the back, may
continue to play but must immediately call for paintchecks on themselves.
3.54 Unobvious hits are those which are not felt and break on players or equipment which are
not easily observable or discovered. Players with unobvious hits will be eliminated when
discovered, but will not be penalized for playing on.
3.55 A player is eliminated if:
(i) any part of his body or anything that he is wearing or carrying is outside the
playing area, and judges rulings on such matters are final and non-appealable;
(ii) he is not wearing his armband on his left arm above the elbow prior to the start of
the half;
(iii) he is found with tools or other prohibited equipment on the field;
(iv) he separates himself by more than 5 feet from equipment brought onto the field,
except pods, squeegies and rags;
(v) he engages in unsportsmanlike conduct, including, but not limited to excessive
shooting, failure to obey a judge's direction to stop moving on a player,deliberate
avoidance of a judge in a manner to prevent that judge from chronographing a
marker, making a call or otherwise enforcing these rules, shooting at a judge and
verbal abuse of opposition players, and judges rulings on such matters are final
and non-appealable;
(vi) he takes actions which would cause members of the opposing team to believe
that he has been eliminated, including, but not limited to hiding his armband,
calling himself out, and holding his marker above his shoulder, and judges rulings
on such matters are final and non-appealable;
(vii) his marker is shooting in excess of 300 feet per second on any one shot; or
(viii) he is eliminated by a judge as a result of a penalty called on a teammate.
3.56 Judges in their sole and absolute discretion may issue warnings rather than eliminate
players or call penalties for the following infractions:
(i) a first offense failure to observe a neutral call;
(ii) failure to use a barrel bag;
(iii) use of inappropriate language; and
(iv) a first offense abuse of calling for paintchecks.
3.57 Judges will eliminate players for the following infractions:
(i) a second offense failure to observe a neutral call;
(ii) a second offense abuse of calling for paintchecks; and
(iii) use of inappropriate language
(iv) aggressive movement during a neutral call within 60 feet of the neutral player;
(v) failure to wear an authorized goggles, full face and mask system; and checking in
as a live player at the end of a half with an unobvious hit.
3.6 PENALTIES
3.61 If a player playing on, that is determined by a judge to continue to play with an obvious
hit, which includes, but is not limited to continuing to shoot his marker or otherwise
engage the opposition,, continuing to move except in appropriately exiting the field,
talking, signaling or otherwise communicating information, except to say “HIT” or “OUT”
just once, impeding the progress of opposition players, hampering a judge in making a
paintcheck or a call or providing a teammate with paintballs or equipment, the judge calls
a One-for-One and such player along with one teammate chosen by the judge are
immediately eliminated; provided however, if a judge determines that the offending
player's actions altered the course of the game, he can call a Two- for- One and remove
two live players from the offending player's team, instead of just one. Judges rulings on
such matters are final and non-appealable.
3.62 If a judge determines that a player is attempting to deliberately remove paint from a valid
hit in order to avoid elimination, the judge calls a wiping penalty and such player along
with three teammates of such player chosen be the judge are immediately eliminated.
Judges rulings on such matters are final and non-appealable.
3.63 Freight training is the act of utilizing multiple players who move and act in concert so that
the lead players after being marked and eliminated impede or prevent the timely
elimination of other players in the train. Judges will allow a freight train to continue, but
will remove one live player as well as eliminated players for each instance of continuing
to play by the players eliminated.
3.64 If an eliminated player shoots from the dead box, a judge will call a Three-for One and
eliminate three live players from the offending player's team. Judges rulings on such
matters are final and non-appealable.
3.65 If a player uses a marker in violation of Section 4.22 hereof, a judge will call a Two-for-
One penalty and eliminate two live players from the offending player's team. Judges
rulings on such matters are final and non-appealable
GEAR WORN OR CARRIED
4.0 CLOTHING
4.01 Each player may wear only one layer of underclothing beneath jersey and pants.
4.02 Each player must wear only one long sleeved jersey and one pair of full length pants
(i) which are not over sized;
(ii) which are not made from highly absorbent material such as felt or fleece or of a
highly padded or slick material such as nylon or rubber;
(iii) the colors of which cannot be any shade of orange or red.
4.03 Players may wear a single pair of gloves, with or without full fingers. Gloves may be
padded.
4.04 Players may wear single layer nylon neck protection.
4.05 Players may wear headgear which does not extend beyond one inch below the
collarbone or below the shoulder blades.
4.1 PROTECTIVE GEAR
4.11 Players must wear goggles, full face and ear mask systems manufactured for use in
paintball games which are in good repair and with lenses not in any way damaged.
These systems must meet or exceed ASTM standards.
4.12 Players may wear unmodified forearm, elbow, knee and shin protection over or under
clothing. Male players may wear groin protection, and female players may wear breast
protection.
4.2 MARKERS
4.21 Players may carry into a game and use only one 68 caliber non-electronic mechanical
pump or semiautomatic marker which has a single barrel and a single action trigger. The
force needed to pull the trigger of the marker must exceed the bounce back force of the
trigger caused by the expenditure of the paintball, eliminating the possibility of a bouncing
trigger.
4.22 All markers with any form of external velocity adjusters must be modified in such a way
so that the velocity adjuster is not readily accessible during the course of play. All
regulators require tournament caps so that they cannot be adjusted without a tool with
the marker gassed or degassed.
4.23 All barrels may be equipped with porting, slots and/or rifling, but may not have a sound
suppressor attached or an integral part of the construction
4.24 Cloth, neoprene or other material may be used to cover the air tanks attached to the
markers.
4.25 Barrel bags must be used off the field of play and away from the chronographing areas.
4.3 PAINT
4.31 Only 68 caliber paint shall be used.
4.32 Paint must be non-staining and water water soluble.
4.33 Red and pink paint are prohibited.
4.4 OTHER EQUIPMENT
4.41 Only gravity fed battery or non-battery operated paint loaders may be used. Force fed
loaders are prohibited.
4.42 Players may carry any number of paint pouches, clips or loaders.
4.43 Players may carry one hand towel or washcloth, provided it is not orange, red or black.
4.44 Players may carry any number of squeegies and swabs.
4.45 Players may carry anti-fog cloths or spray.
4.46 Players may have just one compressed air or CO2 tank certified for use as of the dates of
the tournament.
4.5 PROHIBITED EQUIPMENT
4.51 Prohibited equipment includes, without limitation, listening devices, any form of electronic
surveillance, incendiary devices, smoke producing devices, red paint, paint which
contains toxins or pathogens, paint with a shell or fill altered or augmented in any way or
paint which is not biodegradable.
4.52 Markers or other equipment not in conformity with the provisions of Section 4.41 hereof
are prohibited.
GAME STRUCTURE
5.0 HALVES
5.01 Each game will consist of two halves.
5.02 Each half will end 15 minutes after the start thereof or sooner if the Ultimate Judge
declares “Game Over” because of a successful flag hang, the elimination of all players on
the field or an emergency.
5.03 Teams will exchange flag stations on the field for the second half of play.
5.04 There will be at least 45 minutes between the start of each half played by the teams.
5.1 SCORING
5.11 Games will be conducted on a 100 point system for each half.
5.12 A team will be awarded 2 points for every player on the opposing team
eliminated.
5.13 A team will be awarded 1 point for every player on such team not eliminated.
5.14 A team will be awarded 20 points if it successfully pulls its opponents' flag first.
5.15 A team will be awarded 50 points if it successfully hangs its opponents' flag in its
flag station first.
5.16 Points are awarded at the conclusion of the half by the Ultimate Judge.
5.17 Elimination points are awarded to a team for every opposing player removed
from the game in progress. A player may be removed for a valid hit, going out of
bounds, surrender or voluntary exit from the field, elimination by a judge, valid or
invalid, abandonment of equipment (moving more than 5 feet away from such
equipment, except spent or unspent paint pods, or beginning the half outside the
team flag station.
5.18 A first flag pull occurs when a player not eliminated is the first to physically grab
the opponents' flag in their station, before an opponent manages to do the same.
Only one team may be awarded first flag pull points during a half.
5.19 Flag hang points are awarded when a player not eliminated breaks the plane of a
flag station with the flag from the other flag station. Flag hangs are awarded in
conjunction with or independently of first flag pulls. Flag hangs may be awarded
to the team not in possession of the flag when hung, since it is the flag and the
station in which it is hung that determines the points awarded and to whom. Flag
hangs will not immediately be awarded upon the flag breaking the boundary of
the opposing flag station. The status of the flag carrier will first have to be
verified as not eliminated. The time of the flag hang will be recorded prior to
such verification, and if the player is determined to be not eliminated and no
other hang occurred prior to that hang, the hang will be considered valid and the
half will be considered over at the time of such hang.
5.2 NUMBER OF GAMES; PRIZE PACKAGE
5.21 In the preliminary round, each team will be placed in a division of 4 teams and will play
each other team in its division plus one team from another division, or 4 games (8 halves)
in that first round.
5.22 The top two teams in each division will continue through to the playoff rounds.
5.23 Elimination rounds will be played pursuant to a schedule to be posted on the website at
least one week prior to the start of the competition until teams 1 through 4 have been
determined.
5.24 $300.00 from each team entry fee shall be allocated to the prize pool.
5.25 In case of a tie score among teams, such tie will broken:
(i) first, by head to head competition, the winner of such contest advancing;
(ii) if tied still, second, by previous round scores, top scorer in that previous round
advancing;
(iii) if tied still, third, by eliminations scored in the previous round, the top team in
such scoring advancing;
(iv) if tied still, fourth, by coin toss.
MISCELLANEOUS
6.0 DECORUM
6.01 Teams and players thereon shall refrain from wearing or otherwise displaying offensive
pictures, words or logos.
6.02 Teams and players thereon shall refrain from engaging in any conduct that would bring
the tournament, the promoters or the game-site into disrepute, including, but not limited
to trashing hotel rooms, the discharge of markers in ungoggled trafficked areas, the willful
destruction of private property, physical altercations, except in defense of one's person
against an unprovoked attack, or the commission of a criminal act.

Todos os campeonataos brasileiros de 1990 a 1998 (ao menos o último que participei) eram extamente assim.....mas com aprimoramento da tecnologia e uma ávida sede por uma forma mais competitiva criaram as competições no estilo do CBP, como bem relatou o nosso amigo coelho do pinta a pua em outro tópico.
Nada impede que organizemos algo semelhante ao que tínhamos antes.

Opa já fiquei animado em saber...como sou novo no esporte, não sei como era o Paintball nas antigas, mas me parece que daria um bom campeonato
